Practical - "I just don't think it would work out. I'm sorry."
Normally, Dawnstar is very openminded with certain things and ideas. Although, sometimes she can be the opposite. However, that doesn't mean she'll shoot it down straight away. She always thinks before she acts, and she sees all aspects of an idea or thought. If she hears an idea, but knows it won't go the way they plan, she'll point it out.
Confident - "Oh, you know I'm right~"
Ever since she was a kit, she always had that sort of attitude. She's never had a problem with herself and she has very high self-esteem. Not only that, but she also is very nice and modest about it. She doesn't rub her self-confidence in other cats' faces, which is why she is very well liked.
Deceptive - "Maybe I did, but you fell for it."
Dawnstar can be quite manipulative when she wants to be. Many cats say she got it from her father, Stormcloud. She can be very misleading to other cats. In some ways, it can be considered a bad thing, but Dawnstar thinks the opposite. She uses this trait to deceive her enemies and uses it to her advantage. She tries not to use it too much, but sometimes she just feels like it's needed.
Skeptical - "Hmmm...we'll see."
Most of the time, when Dawnstar meets a new cat not from her Clan, she instantly gets suspicious. A lot of the time, cats call her paranoid, but she doesn't see it that way. This sometimes causes her to overthink things, but this can also be a very good trait. It makes her careful and not quick to trust anyone. It helps a lot with her being the leader and all. Her past has made her this way.
Resentful - "No! I'm never forgiving him for what he did to me!"
Dawnstar tends to be like this a lot. She holds grudges for way too long and doesn't care that cats hate it. A big part of it comes from when she was a kit. She was hurt too many times to count, and finds it hard to trust cats and get close to them because of it. It can often make her very reserved. She doesn't like to be personal with any cat, especially with one she just recently met.
Irascible - "Don't tell me how to run my Clan!"
Quick-tempered, short-tempered, hotheaded, irritable, and many more; these are all synonyms for this certain trait. Dawnstar has always had a tendency to be quickly angered, or aggravated. She just can't help it most of the time. If a cat says one wrong thing to her, she lashes out right then and there.
Dawnkit was born in early Leaf-bare, alongside her two siblings, Graykit and Icekit. They had a fairly normal kithood. They did what any normal kit would do; playing around and exploring camp, bothering the older cats, and getting into trouble. Everything seemed great, until they lost their mother at an early age, to a bad case of Greencough. An outbreak had been going around all the Clans. The epidemic stole many lives. The kits' father consoled them the best he knew how.
Since they were only a few moons old, and still had a couple moons to become apprentices, they still had to have someone take care of them and look after them. That's when another queen, named Oaktail, stepped up to the plate. She had been pregnant with her own
kits at the time, and felt bad for the young ones. She mothered them for the rest of their kithood, up until the day they turned six moons old. Even though she wasn't their real mother, and they knew that, she still loved them like they were her own. And she couldn't have been more proud to see the three be appointed apprentices.Apprentice:
Dawnpaw was named, along with her brother and sister. Graykit became Graypaw, and Icekit became Icepaw. Dawnpaw got a tom named Blackstream as her mentor. The two were polar opposites. At first, they had a very hard time getting along. Over time, as the two got to know each other, they started to settle their differences, because they saw how much they actually had in common.
For a while, Dawnpaw's and her siblings' training was going very well. Dawnpaw had met a tom named Ashpaw, and they hit it off as soon as they started talking. Dawnpaw started to fall for him pretty quickly. Long story short, they were perfect for each other. Both of their families saw it. When they were both ten moons old, a fox invaded the WillowClan camp. It wiped out lots of cats, obviously driven by rage. A group of warriors had found it's den a few sunrises prior and destroyed it, so it must have gotten mad and attacked back. The canine ended up killing not only Ashpaw, but her mentor, Blackstream, as well.
Dawnpaw was far too upset to fight back, and the senior warriors and the leader at the time drove it out. The young tabby sat vigil that same night, for all of her lost Clanmates. The next day, Dawnpaw got a new mentor: a she-cat called Whitecloud. She was the total opposite of Blackstream. Dawnpaw was never very fond of her, but nonetheless, she continued her training, and Whitecloud did it well. Moons later, Dawnpaw and her siblings had finished their training.Warrior:
The siblings were given their warrior names. Icepaw was named Icestripe, Graypaw was named Grayclaw, and Dawnpaw surprised her whole Clan, including her family, when she asked this: she wanted to be named Dawnbreeze, after her mother. The current leader didn't have to give it much thought. He respected Dawnpaw because of it. He smiled down at her and approved the young tabby's request. From then on, Dawnpaw would be named Dawnbreeze.
Moons later, Dawnbreeze got her first apprentice, Icepaw. She found it ironic, because her sister's name started with 'Ice.' At first, Dawnbreeze felt awkward, because she knew nothing about being a mentor or teaching in general. Despite that, she got the hang of it. The tabby taught Icepaw well, and before she knew it, she became Icefrost.
The rest of her warrior days were quite boring, just carrying out her duties and whatnot. Despite that, she loved it.Deputy:
When Dawnbreeze was appointed deputy, she couldn't have been more shocked. She was honored that their leader had trusted her enough to give her the job. Her siblings were proud of her, as well as her father. Dawnbreeze could almost feel her mother looking down on her from StarClan, smiling. The she-cat smiled, just knowing that.
Dawnbreeze was treating with much respect, considering she deserved it. A few moons in, as deputy, Dawnbreeze received her second apprentice; another she-cat named Redpaw. She was a firey little one. The complete opposite of her previous apprentice, Icefrost. On the inside, Dawnbreeze actually found their relationship quite amusing. It reminded her of her and Blackstream's relationship.
For a while, the two didn't get along so well, and they bumped heads a lot. Although, after about a quater moon, they began to settle their differences. The whole thing reminded Dawnbreeze so much of her and Blackstream's relationship. Before they both new it, it was time for Redpaw to become a warrior. Dawnbreeze consulted with their current leader and they agreed on the name Redblaze, in honor of her personality.
Later on, Dawnbreeze got yet another apprentice, Goldenpaw, but he died shortly after his training started. It was a horrible hunting accident.Leader:
During her nine lives ceremony, Dawnbreeze saw many cats she knew, including her mother. The life her mother gave her was Love. Her father, Stormcloud, gave her the life of Ambition. Her first mentor, Blackstream, gave her the life of Determination. Whitecloud gave her Understanding, Goldenpaw gave her Care, and Oaktail, her foster mother, gave her the life of Care. Ashpaw, her previous crush, gave her the life of Protection. The deputy before her gave her Right Judgement, and last but not least, from Whitestar, the life of Hope.
The rest of Dawnstar's leadership has been very generic. She loves it, as well. Although she knows the peace won't last very long, she's ready for everything anything.
Roleplay Info: Roleplay sample from The-Blue-Tides Leafpatch settled down on her haunches, curling her tail over her paws. She dipped her head back to the deputy, a small smile making its way onto her face. "Good morning, Coalgaze. How've you been lately? We haven't really talked much at all." She replied, taking a bite of her rabbit. Ever since her own apprenticeship had ended, they both have been so busy with their duties to associate with each other. Not to mention the weather hasn't exactly been giving any cat a break lately. Prey has been far too scarce for Leafpatch's or any other cat's liking and the WindClan cats were skinnier than normal. Leafpatch then turned away from the fresh-kill pile and shook off all the snow that coated her back and the top of her head. Then she moved back to sit next to Coalgaze. "Sorry 'bout that, I just hated that feeling. The snow was starting to harden on my fur. Not a pleasant feeling, let's just say that." She chuckled a bit.
